Painting decisions can be hard and it can be easy for the DIYer to get lost in the details. A navy blue or charcoal black behind the headboard can make the bedroom more intimate. However, this really only works in a bedroom with a north facing window. Otherwise, you just have a black wall that collects heat in the summer months. Champagne pink and soft orange hues are great for smaller bedrooms, but not ones that catch the morning sun because you will never be able to sleep in. Instead, save those colors for eastern facing rooms.
